Aadhar Linked Mobile Number Change: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides facilities related to the ‘Aadhar Card’ for all citizens of India. Therefore, whether you want to link your mobile number with your Aadhar card or change to a new mobile number, we must follow the rules of the UIDAI institution.
Note – As per the institution’s rules, currently only the ‘Aadhar Address’ can be changed online in the Aadhar card. However, to change the mobile number or any other details such as name, date of birth, etc., one will have to visit a UIDAI office or Aadhar center, which is explained in detail below.

How to Change Mobile Number In Aadhar Card
To change the mobile number on your Aadhar card, you will need to visit your nearest Aadhar center. You can search for the nearest center from here. However, I have explained in detail here about how to make an appointment to visit the UIDAI office and how to request an online change of mobile number.

Step 1. Open the UIDAI website.
You can search for ‘UIDAI Website’ in Google on your device, then click on the first link and select the English language option to open the UIDAI website.
Step 2. Select the ‘Appointment’ option.
Now that the main page of the website is open in front of you, click on the ‘Book an Appointment’ option. Then, on the next page, click on ‘Select’ to choose the name of your city, and then click on ‘Proceed to Book Appointment’.
Step 3. Login to the portal.
Now, on the next page, first, select the ‘Aadhar Update’ option, then enter your Mobile Number and captcha, and click on ‘Generate OTP’. After that, you will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter it to log in.
Step 4. Select Mobile Number option.
Now, after logging into the website, first enter your basic details such as name, date of birth, Aadhar number, state, city, and the name of the Aadhar service center, and then click on ‘Next’.
In the next page, select the ‘New Mobile Number’ option and enter the mobile number that you want to link with your Aadhar card.

Step 5. Select the Time & Date.
Now, first select the date on the calendar that suits you, and then select the time slot when you can reach the UIDAI office. After that, you can click on ‘Next’ to check your details. Then, you can submit the form.
Step 6. Transfer the fee online.
Now, as per the UIDAI regulations, transfer 50 rupees online to change your mobile number in your Aadhar card, and then download the receipt.
Keep in mind that now you need to go to the UIDAI office on time and get your Aadhar mobile number changed.
Note – Changing or linking a mobile number in the Aadhar card does not require any documents, so whenever we change the phone number in the Aadhar card, we have to go to the Aadhar service center and provide our fingerprints because it is a secure process.

How to link Mobile Number on Aadhar card
Exactly as I mentioned earlier. However, I’ve reiterated it here once more for you because the process of linking or changing a mobile number in Aadhar remains the same whether it’s being linked for the first time or being changed.
- First, find the address of your nearest Aadhr service center.
- Then, go there with your Aadhar card and mobile number.
- After that, meet the Aadhar center operator and submit the proposal to link the mobile number.
- Then, they will verify your fingerprints and link your mobile number with Aadhar.
- Afterward, you can pay the operator ₹50 as the fee.
How to Checked Aadhar Card Linked Mobile Number
- First, open the myAadhar UIDAI portal on Google.
- Then, click on the ‘Check Aadhar Validity’ option.
- Next, enter your Aadhar number and the provided captcha on the next page.
- Now, click on ‘Proceed’.
- After that, you can see the last 3 digits of the mobile number linked to your Aadhar card.
- And if the mobile number is not linked, you will either see the old number or ‘Nil’ written.
