Step 1. Open the DL website.
First, type & search ‘Parivahan Sewa’ in Google and then click on the link to the Parivahan website to open the website of the Indian ‘Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’.
Step 2. Select the Name of your state.
Now, after the Parivahan portal opens, click on the ‘Drivers/Learners License’ option. Then, on the next page, click on ‘Select State Name’ and choose the name of the state where your new address is located.
Step 3. Now, select ‘Apply for Change Address’
Now, a new page has opened in front of you. First, click on the option ‘Apply for Change of Address’ and then click on Continue.
Now, enter your driving licence number and date of birth, then enter the CAPTCHA provided on the portal, and you can click on ‘Get DL Details’. Then, all the information about your driving licence will appear in front of you.

Step 4. Verify your details.
Now, go to the bottom of this page and select the option ‘Confirmed that the above Driving licence details are mine’ as ‘YES’, and then click on ‘Proceed’.
Then you will see some pop-up messages, read them, and click OK.
After that, on a separate page, check your details and click on Confirm, then select the option ‘Change of Address in DL’ and click on Proceed.
Step 5. Enter the New Address.
Now, on the next page, you will see three options: ‘Permanent, Present, and Both’. If you want to change your permanent or present address, select the respective option. If you want to change both, select the ‘Both’ option.
Then enter your Permanent and Present address carefully and confirm.
After that, carefully read the ‘Self-Declaration’ box, select all the checkboxes, and then click on Submit.
Step 6. Upload documents.
As soon as you click on Submit, you will be taken to this page where you can select the option ‘Upload Documents’ and then click on Proceed.
After that, select any one of your address proof documents for your new address and upload its photo.
Step 7. Transfer the fee online.
Now, go back to that page and select the ‘Fee Payment’ option, then click on Proceed.
After that, on the next page, you will need to transfer the fee online according to the fee charged for changing the DL address in your state. So, select the online method and deposit the fee. After making the payment, make sure to download the slip. Please note that the address update fee may vary in each state.
Now, the online process of changing the address in your driving licence is complete, meaning your form has been submitted. Therefore, in a few days, your Driving Licence with the new address will be delivered to your home through the postal service.
